On the brink of the three year anniversary since its launch, INBiz has reached a new milestone. Since April 2016, more than 400,000 users have signed up to do business through Indiana’s one-stop business portal.

INBiz’s unique services are catered to Hoosier businesses owners. Through INBiz, users can easily register, start, and expand their business, as well as ensure they are compliant with state laws and regulations. The INBiz one-stop business portal allows business owners to spend more time running their business, and less time being transferred across different agencies to ensure basic compliance.

Over the past three years, INBiz has received national recognition for these services, including the 2018 Government Achievement Award, 2018 NASCIO State IT Rendition award, and 2019 Public Relations Society of America Hoosier Chapter’s Best in Show Award.

“With more than 400,000 users registered on INBiz, this confirms that business owners and entrepreneurs are responding to our efforts,” said Secretary Lawson. “With such a broad range of users, including business owners, managers, attorneys, entrepreneurs, CPAs, and more, there is room for INBiz to grow. It is our goal to make it easier to do business in Indiana, and we will continue to expand services and functionality to our site.”

Existing partners include the Department of Revenue, Department of Workforce Development, Office of the Attorney General, and Professional Licensing Agency. Users can access INBiz services through any of these agencies. Additionally, the Secretary of State’s office is working with municipal governments to integrate local permitting and licensing services into the system.
