The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) has embarked on a multiyear project to modernize Indiana’s current tax system. Branded as Project NextDOR, the second of four phases will launch on Sept. 8, 2020. What does that mean for you? The biggest impact will be for business customers who pay sales and withholding taxes because they will have to register with the new e-services portal, the Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine (INTIME).
DOR and the Secretary of State have partnered to create a streamlined process to help register and manage your business.
New Business Customers
New business customers are required to register with the Secretary of State through INBiz, which includes an agreement to pay taxes to DOR. After completing the registration process, new business customers will also be required to create an INTIME account to securely manage, file and pay their sales and withholding taxes. INTIME allows efficient and secure management all of tax accounts online in one convenient location, 24/7. An INTIME User Guide will be available to help customers navigate within the new system.
Existing Business Customers
Since INtax is moving to INTIME, existing INtax customers will need to migrate their accounts to INTIME as early as Sept. 8 in order to file their business sales and withholding taxes and continue securely managing their accounts online. An INTIME Migration Quick Start Guide will also be available to specifically assist existing customers with the transition.
